Besides its own process and activities, the Social Sensibility R&D Department has often been “used” in different ways by people and groups in the factories: as an informal human resources office, an alternative educational unit, a channel of communication between management and the workshop, a personal cultural platform and a place for counselling. While staying true to its original purpose, it has taken on all these roles organically, making sure that each remained temporary and never fixed.

Sounkarou Dembélé, together with Blandine de La Taille, set up a temporary anonymous checkpoint called Bureau clandestin (clandestine office), where anyone who wished was invited to leave anonymous messages about problems and issues in the workshop.
