WORK / LIVE 干活 Tianji Zhao 赵天汲

Tianji Zhao 赵天汲 has been part of the Social Sensibility R&D Department at the Bernard Controls factory in Beijing since 2013. After completing a project as artist in residence, she joined the department permanently.

She has worked on and facilitated many projects with workers, managers and employees, and with Alessandro Rolandi she formalised the WORK / LIVE approach that helps people create their own artistic projects. She has also been artistic coordinator of the department’s residency programme and of many internal and external projects.

Here she reads poetry to the workers during their daily routine on the assembly line.
