A worker and an artist perform elaborate, repetitive procedures in the workshop – with no purpose at all.
Serious, professional, useless
Over several meetings, Wei Chengcheng 魏成成 and Guazi 刮子 held long conversations on performance art, shamanism, spirituality, politics and society.
One day they spontaneously began to play in the factory workshop, developing paradoxical actions in which they carried out specific, elaborate and repetitive movements and procedures. For all their seriousness and professionalism, these procedures had no purpose and no final goal.
